Taken by one of the photographers, Richard Kemp, while out on a photography expedition, Photojourney, lead by ex-GWT Nepal Field Director and Retired Gurkha Officer Lieutenant Colonel, Johnny Fenn in Nepal.
The team spent few days in Nepal at the start of 2017, almost two years after the devastating earthquake hit the region. This photo was taken in Barpak, the epicentre of the earthquake, and shows a local lady beating millet into flour.
The photographer's description:
'I had been walking all day and decided to sit on a wall at the outskirts of Barpak. Two things struck me at that moment: the astonishing beauty of the landscape, and the work ethic and stoicism of the people.'
